Join us in November each year for our free-to-attend global annual meeting where we open our doors to the whole community, welcoming publishers, librarians, researchers, funders, technology providers, and members alike to share ideas and progress. Our annual meeting is also where we announce the results of members’ votes for our Board.
Save the date! We are pleased to announce that LIVE18 will be held in Toronto, Canada at the Toronto Reference Library located at 789 Yonge Street, Toronto, Ontario. It will be two full days filled plenary sessions, interactive sessions and entertainment. Invited speakers include:
More details will be shared here as the event draws near.
We focused on the theme of
Metadata + Relations + Infrastructure = Context. We had our fullest program yet, with the broadest representation yet - researchers, editors, journal and book people, publishing execs, librarians, and funders. We talked a lot about relationships: between metadata; between research outputs; and between the scholarly community.
It was two full days packed with a mixture of plenary sessions, the results of our members’ newly elected board members, and interactive activities and entertainment.
Get a flavor of the event by listening to three of the most popular talks from 2016. The podcast includes some of our guest’s comments about the talks, including Crossref’s Geoffrey Bilder on our plans for a new organization identifier registry, Dario Taraborelli from the Wikimedia Foundation, and April Hathcock of New York University.
